Through the teaching of free yoga, meditation and wellness classes we seek
to help homeless youth increase their physical, emotional and spiritual strength,
stamina and flexibility so they can better meet their own core needs. We work
closely with those service providers striving to help homeless youth secure safe
housing, nutritious food, accessible health care, employment, clean clothing,
educational choices and human dignity.

Living Yoga is a non-profit 501(c)(3) outreach program teaching yoga as a tool for
personal change to populations who would otherwise not have access to it. Yoga is
invaluable for rehabilitation and recovery; it develops the skills of mindfulness, impulse
control, discernment in decision-making and emotional regulation, as well as interpersonal
relationship skills. We extend our service to prisons, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers,
battered women’s shelters, low-income and homeless resource services, and disadvantaged
youth.

"Allie is a gifted yoga instructor and my most important guide in two and a half years of yoga practice. Her studio classes, private lessons and couples yoga workshops have all been fantastic. Her yoga is challenging while at the same time peaceful -- not an easy combination! And whether it's flying poses or thumping music during an abdominal series she knows how to make yoga fun at the right moments. I wholeheartedly recommend Atune yoga!"
